Dolls by Artist Kaye Wiggs
I first started making porcelain reproduction doll in 1989 and then sculpted my first doll in 1990.
After a year or so of sculpting my own dolls I designed dolls for reproduction molds for an Australian company called Dolls From Down Under.
Soon after I started designing dolls for reproduction mold companies in USA and later designed for Home Shopping Network.
I retired from making porcelain dolls after a number of years. After about 2 years in retirement, I discovered Resin BJD's and fell in love so started making those in about 2004 or 2005 (I think). Initially I made small edition dolls and cast them myself. I became allergic to the resin so Grace from Jpodolls and myself collaborated to form a partnership have my dolls factory produced. Grace and myself have been working together now for about 5 years.
I was recently awarded the Dolls magazine Lifetime Achievement Award, which to me was the highlight of my career.
